1. Why should I choose a 15V POE power supply?
)a). Because the power supply of the network cable will produce a voltage drop, when the power supply voltage of most APs is 12V, the voltage will drop below 12V after being powered by a network cable of more than 10 meters, affecting the AP's normal operation. If it is 12VPOE, the voltage may be insufficient and affect the normal operation of the AP. On the contrary, if the voltage is too high, it will also burn the machine, so considering all factors, a 15V voltage is appropriate.
2. Power supply distance:
(a). Generally speaking, with pure copper network cables and 12V or 15V power supply, the distance is about 30 meters (the actual use distance is related to the quality of the network cable, the power supply voltage, and the voltage adaptability of the powered device). The higher the voltage, the better the network cable quality, and the longer the effective power supply distance.
(b). Because the general network only uses 1236 to transmit DATA (network data), 4578 is idle, so many network cable manufacturers have 4 iron wires instead of pure copper wires when producing network cables. If such wires are used in the POE power supply, it will cause a large voltage drop.
